Discerning dogs across Wrexham and Flintshire with a nose for quality and fun, can apply to help review holiday cottages.

Canine Cottages have opened applications for the third annual Canine Critics competition. Successful applicants will be offered coveted positions as 'Canine Critics': four-legged ambassadors of the brand who will act as the paws on the ground and be responsible for reviewing cottage holidays, posting on Canine Cottages' social channels, sniffing out adventures along the way and generally living the doggy dream!

This year, Canine Cottages is hoping that Canine Critics will be the most successful yet and are looking to recruit 10 special dogs from around the UK to join their pack, receive a free UK holiday as well as some awesome treats.

The rewards for becoming one of the newly recruited Canine Critics include each lucky pup receiving a £1,000 voucher for a cottage holiday and a doggy bag full of treats. In addition, the successful dogs will be profiled on the Canine Cottages website and appear regularly across the company's social media channels.

The Leader:

Last year's winner from Wales, Bear (pictured above), had a pawsome year and his human said: "Bear's had a blast being Wales' Canine Critic. He's loved having the oppawtunity to review lots of fun products (especially the toys and treats - I think he found his true calling as a professional toy tester!) The cottage holiday was definitely his favourite thing about being a critic though, he loved exploring the woods and beaches in New Forest. There was so much so see and sniff, it was the perfect place to test drive his new bionic hips and he had a great time seeking out all the best dog friendly attractions."

Potential Canine Critics will need a little help from their faithful humans when applying. However, the application process is extremely simple and involves little more than uploading a favourite snap (ideally one that shows the pup's personality) and completing the short online form.

Canine Cottages digital PR manager, Shannon Keary said: "Our 2019 campaign was phenomenally successful and we were overwhelmed with the calibre and quantity of entries. The chosen 2019 Critics have been amazing and we've loved having them as ambassadors for our brand. Now we cannot wait to recruit 10, new top dogs for 2020. We're on the hunt for a diverse selection of 'real' dogs who love to explore the UK and have their photo taken, as well as a willing human to sit, stay and lie down with!"

The closing date for entries is October 29, 2020. Full details can be found on the Canine Cottages website. This really is the op-paw-tunity of a lifetime.
