NURSERY staff in Flint have been recognised as Community Champions by Delyn MS, Hannah Blythyn’s scheme to acknowledge those who have gone over and above during the pandemic.

Located in Flint, the Treehouse Nursery has continued to offer childcare provision for children of keyworkers, meaning they did not have to worry about childcare whilst they ensured essential services continued.

In their nomination the ladies were recognised for caring for the children “with love and without hesitation” as if they were their own.

Visiting the nursery, Hannah Blythyn MS said: “Childcare can often be a worry at the best of times - but what the team have done here at the Treehouse Nursery, acting as the childcare hub for Flint, has relieved that worry for many parents.

“Every action makes a difference and it is important to recognise when people go over and above. That is why I am proud to present the team with this certificate and these badges.”

Speaking on behalf of the Treehouse Nursery, owner Sue Mills said: “We want to say thank you to whoever nominated us for this award and for Hannah coming to visit us, hearing about what we have been doing in recent months.

“It has been challenging, but we all love our jobs and the children always manage to brighten our days.”
