CLWYD South MP Simon Baynes has paid tribute to the “incredible work” of unpaid carers in his constituency as part of Carers Week 2020.
Taking place this year between June 8 and 14, Carers Week 2020 is an annual awareness campaign to recognise and pay tribute to the work of unpaid carers in the UK.
Across Wales 370,000 people are carers, supporting a loved one who is older, disabled or seriously ill.
Mr Baynes said: “I believe it’s vital we take the time to recognise the incredible work carers do that so often goes unnoticed – and to say thank you.
“Clwyd South carers play such a big part in our community helping to support some of the most vulnerable residents and they deserve to be recognised.
“The Coronavirus pandemic has highlighted just how important their work is; and I’m sure everyone in Clwyd South joins me in thanking them for their contribution to our community during Carers Week 2020.”
