A FAMILY using their local woodland for outside learning have used their art and craft skills to help dog owners clean up after their pets.
Faye Walsh had been taking her children into the woods near her home in Rossett so they could get some fresh air and exercise during lockdown but also to engage in outdoor learning.
However, she found that she was regularly having to clean dock muck of her children's shoes as well as the wheels on 22-month-old Arlo's pram.

To solve the problem, Faye's older children Sophie, 15, Lexie, 12, Daisie, 10, Lillie, seven, and four-year-old Archie got creative to make a box that can be stocked with dog poo bags.
They also made a poster asking dog owners to make use of the bags.
Faye has set up a Facebook group, the World of Walsh, to give tips and ideas for other families during lockdown.
On the group, she posted: "Today my children made this for the woods by us. We went there yesterday and it was full of dog muck, I had to clean it off my kids shoes and the pram. There is no excuse now there is free dog poo bags I just hope that people take them home to put in the bin. Everything we need to say is on the attached poster. Please have a read and listen to what is written.
The bags, box and poster
On the poster, Faye says: "I am trying to teach my children about nature and the beauty of where we live, it's hard for them to enjoy it if, after every step, they step in dog muck.
"Please help me teach them the beauty of where we live, they need more than just their parents as a role model in their lives."
Faye says the feedback from dog walkers and other people who use the woods has been positive, and people have been restocking the box with bags.
