TWO MEN who breached a Wrexham park closure to go off road biking have got stuck in mud, police have said.
North Wales Police's Rural Crime Team was called to the Ceiriog Valley on Wednesday morning and is now dealing with possible damage to a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).
Upon arrival, officers discovered that two off road bikers had got themselves stuck after coming off the main track.
Both men have been reported for breaching Covid-19 regulations and the Rural Crime Team says it is working with Natural Resource's Wales to "decide on the best course of action".
A spokesman for the team said: "Simon from the team is dealing with a possible damage to SSSI in the Glyn Valley area of Wrexham that was initially dealt with by our Wrexham Rural colleagues.
"Two men decided, despite the closure that is in place, to go off roading on the wayfarer byway and have come off the main track and got stuck.
"We are working with NRW to decide the best cause of action. The men concerned have been reported under the COVID regulations."
