MOLD'S Starbucks coffee shop has spilled the beans to confirm that it will be one of the 150 stores reopening tomorrow.

The global coffee chain said it will open around 15 per cent of its UK stores in the first phase of its reopening plans on Thursday (May 14), which are predominantly focused on drive thru stores.

The shop at the services on the Wylfa Roundabout in Mold updated its Facebook page, saying it will be one of the stores serving customers through its drive thru window tomorrow.

The post says "We are excited to be serving you all again from 14th May! We will be drive thru only and contactless payments. See you soon!"

Starbucks says customers can find out if their local branch is open using its website's store locator - however the locator is not showing any results in the UK yet.

The chain closed all of its UK sites in March after the Government-mandated lockdown was introduced.

Starbucks has already reopened some of its sites in other regions, including the US and China.

New safety measures at UK sites will include regular hand-washing for at least 20 seconds, two metre social distancing, screens at payment areas and the use of contactless payment only.

The reopening menu will include Starbucks' core range of drinks and a limited food range.

Visiting Starbucks will look a little different, here’s what you can expect:

  • ‘To-Go’ only model – offered via Drive-Thru, takeaway or delivery – minimising partner and customer touchpoints. All drinks will be served in a to-go paper cup, although we will continue to honour the personal cup discount.
  • Social distancing will be in place inside our stores along with extra cleaning protocols and precautions, including more frequent cleaning and sanitizing of high-contact surface areas and increased handwashing by partners.
  • Contactless payments only either by card, phone, or the Starbucks Rewards app which also enables customers to order ahead. Plexiglass screens will also be in place across all our stores.
  • As a small gesture of gratitude for everything NHS workers have and continue to do, we’re offering a free Tall beverage of their choice at our stores.
  • All stores will be serving a near-complete beverage menu, with everything from lattes to cappuccinos, iced coffees and teas to frappuccinos. Food will also be on offer but with a slightly more restricted menu, focused on our most popular items.
