ON National Postal Workers Day Jack Sargeant AM is saying a big thank you to postal workers in his Alyn and Deeside constituency and across the country.

Postal Workers Day which we celebrate every year, it’s an opportunity to say thank you to the blue army that has connected the citizens of the UK for over 500 years

The annual event is organised by the Communication Workers Union (CWU), a trade union for the communications industry with almost 200,000 members.

The postal service is a key part of the UK’s infrastructure. The delivery of parcels and letters is a way of keeping the country together, businesses operating, and helping many people who may not have the option to leave their homes.

Jack Sargeant, AM for Alyn and Deeside, said: “These are unprecedented times but we can always rely on our postal workers, through rain, snow, heat and a global pandemic thank you for always delivering.

“If you see a postal worker or you have postal workers as friends on Facebook, why not join me in saying thanks.

“Thanks also to the CWU who do a great job in representing the interests of our delivery workers”
