THE Assembly Member for Delyn has armed herself with a litter picker to play her part in supporting Mold Spring Clean whilst on her daily walk.

The Mold Spring Clean – an annual litter picking event organised by Mold Town Council – that usually involves the local community, volunteers and schools had been due to take place from April 24-27, but was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Hannah Blythyn said: “I know that in ordinary circumstances, the Mold Spring Clean is a great way to bring the community together to do their bit in tidying up our local neighbourhood, with further activity taking place throughout the year, led by growing groups like Plastic Reduction Mold.

“Whilst the annual Mold Spring Clean may not have been able to go ahead as planned this year, I was pleased to still be able to borrow a litter picker from the town council and play my part while I was out on my daily walk in Mold.

“If you would like to do something similar – safely and within social distancing guidelines and stay-at-home rules – then Mold Town Council are happy to loan out litter pickers to volunteers.”

To collect the litter picks, please get in touch via email to events@moldtowncouncil.org.uk and they can arrange (contactless) handover.
