A WREXHAM photographer is using her skills to raise funds for a care organisation.

Bethan Hall, 29, told the Leader that initially she had about 20 weddings booked in for the rest of this year.

When coronavirus prevention measures were stepped up however, Mrs Hall said her business Raw Focus North West was “badly affected”.

But then she was contacted by some clients asking if it would be possible to do a family photoshoot on their doorstep, and decided to use it for a good cause.

“I wasn’t doing any paid work, so I said we could do something over the garden fence or on the doorstep,” she told the Leader.

“It really came on from there. I did some of my family and friends and it went on Facebook.

“I have been inundated with requests since - I have photographed about 13 families, keeping my distance, some over the fence and some on their doorsteps.

“But I can only do this in the local area while I am out on my daily exercise on foot or on my bike.

“I have had people getting in touch from as far as Buckley, but I have just had to tell them that as much as I would love to - it would be against all the rules for me to go there.”

Mrs Hall (who lives in Gwersyllt with her husband Nathan and children 11-month-old Olivia and two-year-old Madi) said in exchange for the photos, she is suggesting a donation to a fundraising page she has set up in aid of Homecare Matters.

She continued: “Homecare Matters is a local care centre which visits elderly people in their homes.

“They care for my grandfather Glyn Edwards, so I really wanted to recognise them and thank them.

“So far we have raised £170, which I can’t believe.”
