A WOMAN is in hospital with serious, life threatening injuries following a crash on the A55 near Llanddulas.

This happened on Sunday, April 26 shortly before 9pm. 

North Wales Police were called to a report of a collision involving a white coloured Vauxhall Corsa on the Eastbound carriageway whereby the car had left the road and had come to a stop in wooded area.

The emergency services attended and the female driver was taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd in Bodelwyddan by ambulance.

She has since been transferred to hospital in Stoke.

PC Richard Witham, of the Roads Policing Unit, said: “We’re keen to speak to anybody who may have seen the Corsa being driven just prior to the collision or anybody who was travelling in the area and who may have dash cam to contact us.”

A spokesperson from North Wales Fire and Rescue service said: "Two appliances attended.

"A female casualty was released from the vehicle by the fire service and attended hospital."
