A PRIMARY school in Wrexham has shown their appreciation towards frontline key workers during the pandemic.

Staff and children of those classed as key workers during the coronavirus outbreak attending Ysgol Yr Hafod in Johnstown, created and displayed a range of 'thank you' messages outside the school, in order to show their support to NHS and other frontline workers during this difficult time.

Cllr David Bithell, lead member for place - environment and transport, said: "As chair of governors at Ysgol Yr Hafod, I would like to say a well done to the children for their excellent effort for our frontline workers - at a time when everybody needs a lift.

"This gives us hope that we will beat this virus together in the near future."
