A WREXHAM school has urged parents to ignore social media rumours that their children do not have to go to school today.
The rumours have suggested that Ysgol Clywedog, on Ruthin Road, will be closed tomorrow due to coronavirus outbreak precautions.
However, the school has tweeted that this is NOT the case.
The tweet from the school's account said: "Please ignore any rumours on social media regarding Ysgol Clywedog being closed tomorrow.
"Any updates or formal notification of closure will come out via our social media channels, the school website and the Wrexham Council website."

The school is planning to be OPEN as usual this week unless we hear further from the authorities.

If you think you may have any concerning symptoms, use the link below and follow NHS advice. https://t.co/0BmUI9xlMv
The rumours follow a letter sent home on Friday, informing parents that a staff member had been absent from work with a cough.
The letter reads: "One of our staff members have been off all week with a cough. On Wednesday the GP had no concerns, however, today the GP has suspected they may have the virus, but this has not been confirmed. The member of staff has not been in school at all this week, however other family members have been on site, but have not shown any symptoms. Following the advice from Public Health Wales the family are self-isolating.
"To reiterate, we have had no confirmed cases of coronavirus from staff or students at school, and regarding this suspected case, the member of staff has not been in all week.
"I have also been in contact with Public Health Wales today and following current advice, school will continue as normal. Any changes to this will be published on our school website and our social media channels as usual."
