AN APPEAL ensuring children do not miss out on their prom has returned for a second year.

The Leader reported last year that Lynne Chick and Lisa McKessy-Schofield launched an appeal for dresses, make-up and hair services as well as other support in order to help families who may be struggling when their children's proms come around.

The pair present the show Loose Ladies at Radio Deeside which is where the appeal started.

Miss Chick said: "Last year was a massive success, everything was kept private so to protect identities. Those we helped where absolutely over the moon and enjoyed the whole pre prom experience of trying on dresses and accessories.

"It was so lovely to know these kids didn't have to miss out on prom which is a very expensive time of year

"We had so many donations some brand new dresses still with price tags on was donated by Fern Lewis from Mirror Mirror hair and Beauty. We had nail techs, make up artists and hairstylists all offer to kindly help make so many dreams come true."

This year, the pair is looking for a room or space to use to leave the dresses and suits and accessories set on on the rails.

This is to make it easier for people to view the dresses, rather than travelling across the county.

Lynne Chick added: "We hope this year someone could kindly offer us a small room or space until June where we can leave the dresses, suits and accessories set up on rails (we have the rails) so that people can come and view things easier.

"We need drop off points also if anyone is able to help with that this year again."

Anyone wishing to help can do so by contacting Loose Ladies or by calling 01244 818629.
