'DISGUSTING' vandals have targeted cars in a town in Flintshire.

They have smashed the rear windscreen of a car, and damaged another in Buckley.

Police are now appealing for witnesses of both incidents - the first of which took place on Church Road some time on Tuesday (February 11), and the second on Hawthorne Avenue overnight on Wednesday (February 12).

Responding to the incidents on social media, Buckley residents referred to them as "disgusting", "shocking" and "awful".

A North Wales Police spokesman said: “We received a call at 8.35am this morning (Wednesday) reporting overnight damage to a vehicle on Hawthorne Avenue, Buckley. Our enquiries regarding this incident are ongoing at this time.”

“We were also called at 5.30pm on Tuesday, January 11 regarding damage to a vehicle parked to the rear of a property on Chester Road, Buckley, possibly in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

"We are currently investigating the incident.”

Anyone with information regarding either incident can call police on 101.
