A LOCAL male choir will be holding an open rehearsal session in Wrexham on next week to try and attract new members.

The Rhos Orpheus Male Choir will be holding the free-to-attend rehearsal between 7.30 and 9pm at Ty Pawb on Wednesday (February 12).

Richard Huxley, Concert Secretary for the choir, said: "If anyone has ever thought they might be interested in joining a male voice choir but didn't know where to start then this event is just for you.

β€œIt is well known that singing is beneficial to your health and well-being and there is a strong sense of fellowship amongst the members of the choir.”

The event will begin with a rehearsal for the choir so that anyone interested can get a feel for how a rehearsal goes.

That will be followed by refreshments and an opportunity for people to talk to the current choir members before the choir take to the stage to sing pieces from their repertoire.

The session is completely free with anyone welcome to attend regardless of their experience. Anyone interested in coming along can contact Richard on 07528259087.

The Rhos Orpheus Male Choir usually meet on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 7.30pm to practice at the Bethel Chapel in Rhos.
