NORTH Wales Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Gresford this morning, Sunday.
Shortly after 12.45am this morning, North Wales Police were advised by the Welsh Ambulance Service of a crash involving a white Suzuki Swift and a male pedestrian
Sadly, a male pedestrian who is local to the area was confirmed deceased at scene and his next of kin have been informed.
Officers are appealing for witnesses, and in particular, anybody with dash cam footage, following a fatal collision on the A534 between Borras Head roundabout and Holt Road roundabout on Sunday, January 12.
The road was closed to the public from about 1.30am until 7am, according to police.
Sergeant Stephen Richards of the Roads Policing Unit is keen to hear from anybody who may have been travelling on the A543 at the time of the collision to contact officers.
He said: “We are appealing to anybody who may have witnessed the collision, or the moments leading up to the collision to come forward. In particular, we would like to hear from anyone who saw a male pedestrian who was walking on or near the carriageway.”
Anybody who can assist the ongoing investigation is asked to contact officers at the Roads Policing Unit on 101 quoting reference number Y005114.
