DEAN KEATES has got new signings “in the pipeline” and could even add to his squad before tomorrow’s home game against Aldershot.

Keates has seen his side win four of their last six games but he still wants fresh faces during the January transfer window to give the battle against relegation a boost.

After facing fellow strugglers Aldershot, Wrexham don’t have a game for a fortnight as the Reds have been knocked out of the FA Trophy, and fans can definitely expect new additions before the league clash with Woking on January 18.

“We will we looking at adding over the next few weeks. Whether we can add one or two before Saturday, we will have to wait and see,” said Keates.

“I have got a few things in the pipeline but first and foremost, we have got to get through Saturday and make sure we do our best to get maximum points.

“Then I have got a two week window before the next game to make sure there are new additions to the squad to make sure it is evolving and the football club is going forward.”

Keates says out-of-favour players could exit The Racecourse to make room for signings.

“We are in okay form but there needs to be a little bit of freshness in there,” added Keates.

“Whether one or two pass by the wayside to make room for others, we will see how that happens.

“We have got a lot of players in the squad and unfortunately, that is football. Players have to be playing so if they are not playing here and there is the opportunity to go and play somewhere else, players need to take up that opportunity.”
