BUSINESSES in Wrexham are being invited to find out about potential regeneration opportunities.

Wrexham Council recently secured £1.52 million from the National Lottery for a townscape heritage scheme, which will be delivered in the Wrexham Town Centre Conservation Area for heritage-led regeneration.

As well as the National Lottery funding, the council has also drawn funding from other sources.

It has received £1.5million from the Welsh Government for property improvement, through the Targeted Investment Regeneration Programme, which aims to improve properties by providing gap funding to occupiers and owners, bringing vacant commercial spaces back into business use.

A council spokesman said: "The programme covers important building grants, property improvements and development grants.

"With the two projects running together, and with the variety of regeneration support available, we’re inviting town centre businesses to a drop-in event at the flexible space at Tŷ Pawb, Chester Road, from 3pm on Friday, November 29.

"As well as the owners of those buildings which have been identified for improvement under the townscape heritage scheme, we’re also inviting other businesses to see where we might be able to boost possible opportunities for regeneration."
