PLANNING officers have given their approval for two new bungalows to be built in a Flintshire village.
The proposal will see a pair of one story of properties on land adjacent to Annedd Deg, Ffordd Y Gilrhos, Treuddyn.
A Design and Access Statement prepared by Blueprint Architectural Services and submitted as part of the application says that site is considered to be ideal location to become an “infill plot” due to it being situation between two existing but separate bungalows. The statement goes on to say how the design and scale of the proposal is based on properties already located within the vicinity, and will attempt to add to the characteristics of the street scene with minimal impact on the surrounding dwellings.
Access to the site will be off Ffordd Y Rhos, which is one the main spine roads serving the village, while the proposal will provide for two separate private access points.
The designers of the scheme state how there are already a number of different architectural styles of properties within the village, from local authority housing to large individual detached family homes, which they say provides “an interesting look for pedestrians”.
The two bungalows, which will be built with either three or four bedrooms, will provide the village with additional family homes, and the buildings themselves will match neighbouring properties
