A BUCKLEY family was ‘overwhelmed’ after coming together to raise funds for charity.
Children Oliver, Noah and Niamh Rowlands held a cake sale on Saturday outside of their grandparents house on Pren Hill in Buckley.
Nine-year-old Oliver first had the idea and Noah (4) and Niamh (2) quickly jumped on board.
The boys spent Friday night putting the finishing touches to the cake decorations, while Niamh decorated the Pudsey biscuits.
Aunt Michelle Rowlands said on Saturday morning they all went out (accompanied by their auntie) and delivered 40 promotional flyers to the houses along the main road, then returned to set up the stall.
“At 11am the first customers started arriving and the children worked fantastically as a team.
“Their target was to raise £10 but were completely overwhelmed when they added it all up at the end and realised they had made £175.
“A massive well done to all three children for a great effort and a big thank you to everyone who donated.”
