A FLINTSHIRE animal charity has received a vital pet-friendly disinfectant from a major chain.

Holywell based charity North Clwyd Animal Rescue (NCAR) has received a generous donation of pet-friendly disinfectant after being chosen to take part in a nationwide ‘Big Clean Up’ campaign by disinfectant brand, Zoflora.

Since Anne Owen founded the charity 41 years ago, NCAR has become a vital part of the community, caring for a large number of unwanted, abused and abandoned animals in the region.

Keen to support the charity, Zoflora donated a large supply of its pet-specific product, Fresh Home Odour Remover and Disinfectant, to help the team maintain a clean and safe environment for all the animals.

Nicky Owen, of NCAR, said: “Each year we care for over 1800 domestic animals, from finding forever homes for abandoned, unwanted pets to offering advice and support to canines with behavioural problems. "We aspire to make a difference to all of our animal’s happiness and welfare, ensuring they lead the best possible life whilst in our care.

"To keep up with the ever-increasing demand for help, we rely solely on the generosity of our fantastic supporters and volunteers.

"We were thrilled when Zoflora got in touch and asked us to get involved in their Clean-Up initiative. This generous donation means that we can continue to provide a fresh and happy home for all the animals in our care.”

The ‘Big Clean Up’ campaign is part of a nationwide initiative from Zoflora, which reaches out to communities and worthwhile causes. Zoflora is passionate about helping charities in need of a fresh start, and will clean up and reinvigorate their much-needed facilities.
