A WALKING group is encourage people to take part as they publish their autumn schedule.

The Deeside Ramblers are set to take part in their autumn walks next month and are encouraging new comers to try it out.

The first walk will be held on October 5 meeting at 10am at Llyn Brenig visitor centre, Cerrigydrudion (7 or 10 miles).

Other October walks will be held on October 20 meeting at 10am istyll Gwyn Quarry, near Llanarmon-yn-Ial (9 miles) and 10am on October 23 meeting at Loggerheads Country Park (five miles with the optional pub lunch).

A spokesman for the group said: "It may be Autumn but the Ramblers still organise walks, whatever the weather. In fact, its possible to find a walk for virtually everyday of the week.

"To be comfortable make sure that you wear suitable clothing to cope with our variable weather conditions. If not too sure about walk clothing have a look at the Ramblers website for hints and tips."

November 2 the group will meet at 10am at Wat’s Dyke Way, Penyffordd Station for nine miles and 10am on November 17 Beeston and Peckforton Round, meeting on roadside by Shady Oak PH, Bates Mill Lane, Tiverton (eight miles).

Further walks will be held on November 27 at 10am meeting at Pant- yr-Ochain PH, Gresford. (4.5 miles and an optional pub lunch) and 10am on November 30 meeting at Llandegla Village CP (7.5 miles).
