AIRBUS in Broughton found a knockout way to raise funds for good causes this weekend.

There was a fantastic turnout for the company's "It's a Knockout" themed day as plenty of volunteers, some more willing than others, braved the fun assault course.

The charity challenge partners who are inline to benefit from the family fun day are Claire House, Wales Air Ambulance, Nightingale House Hospice, Clatterbridge and North East Wales Search and Rescue.

Airbus employees, friends and family were all in action as plenty of money was raised throughout the afternoon as plenty of people braved the gloomy weather to join in the fun.

North East Wales Search and Rescue were on hand to see the fun and hard work being carried out, and were quick to thank the company and its staff for their support.

A spokesman said on Twitter: "Fantastic fun at Airbus today at their It's a Knockout competition! Thanks for your support."

Pictures from the event show Jerome Blandin, who is head of A350 Wing CDT at the plant, who certainly got in the spirit of the occasion and was photographed with a member of the rescue team.
