A FLINTSHIRE hotel is to 'enhance' its facilities following a recent acquisition of land.

The Beaufort Park Hotel, located on the outskirts of Mold, has announced the acquisition of five acres of land and property adjacent the current building.

The 106 bedroom hotel, events and conference centre was purchased in April 2018 by JDP Hotels Group and continues to trade as a successful independent hotel.

Since the purchase in 2018 many essential behind the scene upgrades have taken place.

These include the upgrading of kitchen equipment and reservations system together with the reception area and introduction of electric car charging points.

Plans to install a lift and update the telephone system are also at an advanced stage.

The recent acquisition of land is seen as an opportunity to further enhance the current facilities at the hotel.

A spokesman for JDP Hotels Group has said that despite rumours, there are no plans to use this land for housing development.

Director Pranay Paw said: “We are delighted with this latest acquisition and look forward to working with Flintshire County Council, North Wales Tourism Board, other relevant authorities, as well as the local community to explore possible ways of further enhancing the facilities at the hotel and the local area.

"Exciting times lie ahead.”

The Beaufort Park Hotel, opened as “The Arches” in 1981 and currently offers accommodation for both leisure and business travellers to the area, eight conference and function rooms for meetings and special occasions, together with a range of events throughout the year including Christmas celebrations and popular tribute evenings.
