A TOWN centre in Flintshire will play host to 35 live music acts across five stages all on one afternoon.

Holywell's Well Inn Music Festival returns next weekend for the eight time, and is set to be bigger and better than ever.

The festival - brainchild of Holywell Town Council - encompasses five stages in areas and pubs across the town centre, namely Tower Gardens, The Boards Head, The Feathers, Bethel Chapel and The Old Wine Vaults.

The event- on September 7 - sees numerous performances from multi-genre, original and cover bands/artists throughout the town centre between 12pm and 6pm and after-party performances too.

The festival is also family friendly with activities for adults and children alike - including sweet carts, face painting and meet the mascots.

There will also be a kids karaoke competition, with the winner earning their very own recording session at Music Mine Studios in Holywell.

Performing will be a Queen tribute band, Wrexham rockers Souljacker, Cry - a three piece local band with a style akin to Pink Floyd, Radiohead and Muse, Robin the Busker - whose charity busking all over the UK has raised £10,000 for Cancer Research UK, Almaz - who perform Jazz from 1920s through to today and Esther Turner - who has supported the likes of Ed Sheeran and Katy Perry.

Also playing will be an artist playing is rising star Sam Lyon, brass bands, Kurdish-Turkish Alawi music, indie bands, blues artists, choirs, acoustic artists, tribute artists and more - so there really is something for everyone.

There will also be after parties on at The Boars Head, The Feathers and The Old Wine Vaults.

And the best part is, it's all free - just turn up and enjoy the music.
