THE biggest business exhibition in North Wales is set to return for its second year.

North Wales Business Exhibition 2019 will take place on Wednesday, October 30 at Coleg Cambria in Connah's Quay between 8am and 3pm.

The event is organised by DBF (Deeside Business Forum) and sponsored by Westbridge Furniture Designs and Coleg Cambria.

Exhibition spaces start at just £100 and all exhibitors have the opportunity to network with other businesses, have one-to-one appointments with professional experts, meet the buyer and pitch for cash prizes.

DBF chairman Askar Sheibani said: "This event offers businesses a chance to exhibit, network and get expert advice to help them grow for a very low cost.

"Our Dragons Den winners will receive big cash prizes thanks to Westbridge Furniture Designs and we at DBF will be awarding prizes for the best stand. It really is a must-attend for any North Wales business."

The event starts with a Mersey Dee Alliance networking breakfast sponsored by Flintshire in Business, which is free to attend but must be booked in advance.

For a chance to compete in the Dragon’s Den, exhibitors will be invited to submit 500 words on how they would best use a thousand pounds to enhance their business. Applications will be shortlisted to six applications and the dragons will receive a brief on the top six

Mr Sheibani added: "Then on the day they will pitch their idea to the dragons for a chance to win a first prize of £1,000 or a second prize of £500.

"The judges will be looking for people who’ve really thought about it and what they’ll use the money for. Whether it’s a philanthropic idea or something to get their business to the next stage – it’s got to be worthwhile.

"The majority decision on the best pitch for the best use of the money will win on the day."

Meet the Professionals sessions will run throughout the day offering exhibitors 15-minute one-to-one appointments with professionals from the training, legal, and finance sectors, and from marketing, social media and cyber security. There are 18 appointments available for each of the four specialisms.

Exhibitors can also enjoy a free networking lunch and some refreshments from sponsors Tate and Lyle.

Sponsored by the Federation of Small Businesses, Meet the Buyer takes place between 10am and 11.30am where exhibitors can find out about the buyers’ procurement processes and how they might be able to sell to them.

Big names already signed up for the Meet the Buyer event include KK Fine Foods, 2 Sisters Food Group, Wheelabrator, Kingspan and Denbighshire and Flintshire County Councils.

The business exhibition stalls sponsored by Westbridge Furniture Designs can be visited between 9.30am and 2pm.
