COMMUTERS have been delayed after train services were disrupted by a vehicle colliding with a railway bridge in Flintshire.
Measuring at less than 4.5 metres, the vehicle is believed to have collided with the notoriously low bridge in Padeswood shortly before 5.30pm on Monday evening (August 12th).
The collision has caused disruption to train services between Wrexham General and Bidston, with National Rail warning of cancellations or delays until 7.00pm.
Reassuringly, though, trains are once again passing over the bridge after experts from a Network Rail response unit deemed the railway bridge – which is between Penyffordd and Buckley - to be safe at around 5.45pm.
