A DEESIDE care worker has pleaded guilty to ill-treatment of a client.
Sharon Wilcox, 48, of Terrig Street, Shotton appeared at Mold Crown Court which was told the defendant had also been convicted of a theft charge at a previous hearing at North East Wales Magistrates’ Court.
Wilcox admitted she ill-treated/neglected Sylvia Williams between February 11 and February 22 this year and she will be sentenced for both offences on September 4 at Caernarfon Court.
Defence barrister, Duncan Bould, said Wilcox was suffering from “some anxiety and depression issues” that may have contributed to her committing the offences.
Judge Peter Heywood granted her conditional bail until the sentencing hearing and warned her that all options were open, including custody.
