THREE men were arrested after a "stand-off" with armed police at a house in Mold.
Flintshire South inspector Steve Owens told the Leader that after receiving intelligence about threats of violence at the end of last week, officers executed a warrant at an address in Bank Villas on Sunday evening.
Insp Owens said: "Officers were supported by armed response colleagues. The targeted occupants refused to engage, resulting in a stand-off for a number of hours."
At the conclusion of the stand-off, three men were arrested - one of whom was wanted on recall to prison.
One of the other men was arrested for assault, unauthorised taking of a motor vehicle, possession of a class B drug and driving whilst disqualified. He was later released on bail with conditions.
The third man - who remains in police custody on Wednesday afternoon - was arrested for possession of an offensive weapon, a public order offence, possession of a class A drug with intent to supply and assault against an emergency services worker.
Insp Owens told the Leader the offensive weapon was a baseball bat.
