A PAIR of Wrexham business owners have made a generous donation to support the work of Wrexham Prostate Support Group.

Mohan Kuhananthan and his wife Ricki Bibi presented the group secretary Phil Jones with a cheque for £1000 and said they wanted to help the group and the good work it carries out.

Mrs Bibi said: "Phil is a valued friend of our family and we were aware of the good work he is doing raising funds with the local support group.

"Through our various business enterprises we had an acute awareness that almost 50,000 middle aged men are affected each year by prostate cancer and it is the most common cancer of all so when Phil told us of the plans the group have for the future we were delighted to help out."

The group meets on the first Wednesday of every month with the exception of August.

Mr Jones added: “Primarily it is a self support group for those diagnosed with prostate cancer or who may have symptoms.

"We also have fundraising targets and at present we are responding to the challenge to help with the purchase of Cryotherpay machine for invasive prostate cancer treatment to support patients at the Maelor Hospital."

Anyone wishing to would like to contact the group and offer their support they can do so via email at wxmpcsg@gmail.com.
