A NATIONAL charity helps people living with terminal illness is appealing for more volunteers in Wrexham.

Marie Curie is appealing for volunteers to come forward and help raise vital funds to support its local nurses and the crucial role they play in peoples lives.

Laura Ellis-Bartlett, Community Fundraiser for Marie Curie said: “Volunteering in your local community is a great way to meet new people and the feeling you get from knowing you are helping such a worthwhile cause is wonderful.

"Right now, Marie Curie are in desperate need of more people to volunteer their time. Whether you have a few hours a week, a month, or even just a few hours a year, it all helps.”

"There are plenty of ways to help. You can take part in one of our supermarket or street collections, help to deliver Marie Curie daffodil boxes and collection tins to local shops and businesses or join the Wrexham Marie Curie Volunteer Group.

"Whatever you’d like to do, we’d love to hear from you."

The funds raised in the area are used to help Marie Curie nurses be there for people living with a terminal illness, providing vital, one-to-one nursing care and support in their own homes. Marie Curie also supports people throughout their illness by providing practical information and guidance to anyone affected by terminal illness including families and carers.
