AN MP has celebrated a store's fundraising efforts who donated hundreds of pounds to charity.

David Hanson, MP for Delyn, recently visited the Mold Ladbrokes shop as staff donated £500 to Nightingale House Hospice.

The donation was made as a direct result of the dedicated fundraising by shop member Katrina Towning and the team.

Each year, shop staff up and down the country will take part in a variety of fundraising efforts to support local charities of their choice.

David Hanson MP said this builds on the role of Ladbrokes shops as a key part of their local community who have supported hundreds of local good causes over the years.

To boost their donations, the Ladbrokes Coral Trust then support them further by topping up their funds.

Mr Hanson added: "I would like to thank Katrina and Ladbrokes for inviting me today to be part of the cheque presentation to Nightingale House Hospice. This is a great local cause that does some amazing work in the community and a worthy recipient of funding.

"It is great to see companies like Ladbrokes support their staff to raise money for these important charities, allowing them to continue playing a vital role in local communities."

The Ladbrokes Coral Trust is an independent trust, which donates funds to local and national charities throughout the UK. Since it was launched the Trust has donated over £10 million to hundreds of different charities.

Grainne Hurst, Director of Responsible Gambling at GVC Holdings stated:"I would like to thank David for taking the time to visit their local Ladbrokes shop, and be part of the cheque presentation to Nightingale House Hospice.

"Each year, hundreds of our staff members run fundraising initiatives in our shops for local charities, and we are proud to play our part in supporting local community and charitable groups."
