A TEENAGER who waved a metal bar around in the street during a disturbance at Wrexham, and then went on to assault four police officers, has been warned she is going into custody.

Jordan Nicole Griffiths, 19, of Churchill Drive in Caia Park, is charged with affray, possessing the metal bar and four charges of assaulting emergency workers, police officers who came to the scene following an incident on November 25.

She admitted all offences and Judge Niclas Parry agreed to a defence request for a pre-sentence report.

The judge told her at Mold Crown Court: "You are going in to custody. I can tell you that now, but not today." He warned her to put her affairs in order.

Judge Parry added Griffiths had the good sense to plead guilty which would be reflected in a reduced sentence and it was right that the court should know as much as it could about her before sentencing took place.

But in the light of a very poor record for offences of violence, it was a serious matter which involved attacks on a number of emergency workers.

Barrister Philip Clemo, defending, said his client had been without her medication for some 18 months but she was due for a mental health assessment and it was hoped that would be resolved shortly.

She was bailed on condition that she does not enter licensed premises.
