DELYN’S Assembly Member has called on small businesses across the constituency to take part in Small Business Saturday.

Small Business Saturday celebrates small, independent businesses, assisting them in promoting themselves, as well as encouraging consumers to support their local traders.

Hannah Blythyn AM said: “Small businesses are at the heart of our high streets and Delyn is home to a diverse range of high performing and successful small businesses, which are essential to our local economy and deliver key employment.

“From award-winners to market leaders, small businesses across Delyn would be ideal for this campaign and I’d encourage everyone to get involved.”

In the run-up to this year’s Small Business Saturday, held on December 7, 100 small businesses will be part of a campaign - #SmallBiz100 - to highlight the work they do throughout their communities.

The campaign will celebrate one business a day in the 100 days running up to Small Business Saturday, starting on Friday August 30.

Previously, 100 businesses have been invited to exclusive ‘Blue Tie’ events and have also joined the Small Business Saturday team in London at receptions in Downing Street, House of Lords and the Treasury Drum with the Chancellor of the Exchequer.

Applications open on Saturday June 1 to be part of this year’s campaign - with more information available online at
