FLINTSHIRE council is introducing an account for residents and customers to enable them to access a number of services online.

The My Account allows people to check bin collection and get the contact details for local councillors on-line at any time and place.

More information about how to sign up can be found online at flintshire.gov.uk/My-Account.

Over the coming weeks and months the Council will be extending the services available to Flintshire residents through My Account and it will keep residents posted as new things come online.

From June 3, council house tennants will be able to see rent balances and make payments online, see and track reported repairs, see current applications and access account information such as gas servicing dates and contact details.

Flintshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Corporate Management and Assets, Councillor Billy Mullin, said: "My account will be your own personalised area of our website and you can track progress of any requests made online. You’ll be able to access council services 24 hours a day, from the comfort of your own home or on the move with your mobile device.

"By creating an online account, the information you provide will feed into a centralised system allowing us to process your request much quicker. This lets you see how we’re dealing with your request

"Don’t worry if you don’t want to access your council services in this way, you can still do things by phone or face to face at one of the Council’s Connects Centres.

"If you would like to have a go, but would like some help getting started, go along to one of the Council’s Connect Centres and they will be able to help set you up."
