A CELEBRATION of volunteering is to be held in Flintshire.
Flintshire Local Voluntary Council (FLVC) is the umbrella and support organisation for more than 1200 voluntary and community groups based in Flintshire.
As part of the National Volunteer Week which runs from June 1 to 7, FLVC will be holding a celebration of volunteering across Flintshire.
This year, Volfest 19 will take place on June 4 at River Dee Centre in Flint, however all places have been filled.
Jan Owen, volunteer centre manager said: "It’s an excellent opportunity to recognise and thank volunteers for all their hard work, as well as raising the profile of the voluntary organisations they volunteer with.
"Certificates of achievement will be presented by the High Sheriff of Clwyd to volunteers followed by Afternoon Tea.
Also, for anyone thinking about volunteering to help their local community FLVC is holding a volunteering recruitment fair at Deeside Leisure Centre on Thursday, June 6, from 10am to 1pm.
Anyone interested in finding out more about either of the events can contact a member of FLVC team on 01352 744000 or visit Wales Volunteering website
