ASPIRING singers from Wrexham have the chance to impress TV bosses next week.

Auditions for the 2020 series of ITV's The Voice UK will be taking place at ROC2 Studios on Borras Road next Tuesday, May 21 at 2pm.

This is the second year ROC2 Studios have hosted auditions for the tv talent show, made famous for its format of contestants having to convince celebrity singing judges to turn around in their chair.

Slots at the auditions are limited, with all those attending asked to prepare one song with either a backing track or instrument. All those attending must be at least 16 years of age by October 1 2019 and anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

The ROC2 Studios are built within a Cold War Nuclear Bunker, formerly the Group Headquarters for North Wales Royal Observer Corps. It has become a creative arts hub with a Film Production Company, PA company and music producers occupying rooms, in addition to main recording and photographic studio.

The studios used to be the production studio for K-Klass, where artists such as Michael Jackson, Blondie and New Order were once mixed. It has recently hosted many of North Wales finest bands, including Catfish and the Bottlemen and The Joy Formidable, while the photography studio recently hosted comedian Russel Kane.

If you think you have what it takes to be the next singing superstar you can book a slot by emailing
