A SPATE of 'awful' anti-social behaviour is blighting an area of Deeside.

Garden City has been hit with a number of recent instances of anti-social behaviour, which has seen car tyres slashed and windows smashed with bricks.

Police said several vehicles had tyres slashes in the Bridge View area of Garden City on Wednesday (May 1) night.

Cllr Christine Jones, county councillor for Sealand, had the windows of her garage smashed by a brick on Tuesday night.

Cllr Jones said: "There's been an awful lot of anti-social behaviour in the area in the last couple of weeks.

"It's one group of youths that we believe to be responsible for the current issues. I've had all the windows smashed on my garage now.

"And now there's been tyre slashings, it has got to stop."

A North Wales Police spokesman said: “We received a call at 9:05am today (May 2) reporting the tyres on several vehicles had been slashed on Bridge View in Garden City. Officers attended and investigations are currently ongoing.

"We also received a call at 2.41pm on Wednesday that bricks had been thrown through windows of a garage on a property on Welsh Road, Garden City.
