ARRESTS in Deeside following a pursuit through the streets have resulted in weapons and drugs being taken off the streets of North Wales.
Three men were arrested after driving recklessly on Tuesday evening, April 30, and police later recovered a machete and a police-issue baton as well as an unspecified quantity of drugs from their vehicle.
Speaking to the Leader, South Flintshire Police Inspector Steven Owens said: “At 11.07pm, a vehicle was seen driving recklessly through the Sandycroft area but failed to stop for officers from our roads policing unit.
“Tactical options were discussed with the control room and, during this time, four males abandoned the vehicle and made off on foot. Three were arrested nearby and remain in police custody at St Asaph. One suspect remains outstanding.”
