CONCERNED Flintshire residents are to hold a public meeting about buses as uncertainty over services grows.
Hope, Caergwrle, Abermorddu and Cefn Y Bedd residents are invited to discuss their fears over bus services at the meeting on April 29 at 7.30pm.
The meeting will take place at the Heulwen Close community centre in Hope and will discuss scrapped bus routes which is leaving people isolated and facing loneliness and health issues.
The meeting is being organised by Councillor David Healey, county councillor for Caergwrle, who wants to see Welsh Government give local authorities the power and funding to run all bus services.
Some of the services affected in this area include the CT1, which has not been extended to include Abermorddu to take residents to Broughton. The new LT7 is not stopping at Hope Church/Red Lion leaving elderly people in this area without public transport and the recent loss of the Number 28 Townlynx service presents problems for those wanting to get to Penyffordd, Buckley and Mold.
