HUNDREDS of pounds has been raised from a community Easter event.

Treuddyn Village Hall hosted their Easter Fair and pancake flipping event which saw families from across the area attend.

The fair is the second event arranged by the Treuddyn fundraising team and they are already planning a Chrsitmas Fair which will be held on Sunday, December 1.

A spokesman for the team said: "The fair was excellently attended, it had over 20 stalls from local artisans, food producers and small businesses as well as both the local children’s playgroups .

"Next to the village hall we had a fun play bus for the children to enjoy as well as craft tables and a competitive but friendly community pancake tossing competition which the young and young at heart took part in.

"The event raised almost £600 for Marie Currie Cancer Care and Treuddyn Community Association.

"This is the second successful event arranged by the Treuddyn fundraising team, we are already planning a Christmas fair among other events which we hope will be another success.

"The fundraising team wish to thank all the volunteers who helped to make it such a successful day and also the community for showing their support."
