SENIOR Councillors have championed a village industrial estate with a new sign in place to spread the word.

Although Wrexham Industrial Estate is one of the largest in the UK, there is also one in Ruabon - the Vauxhall Industrial Estate which is fast becoming home to a variety of industries

In Zone One are Brother Industries (UK) Ltd., Valentines Travel Solutions Ltd., Tomlinson’s Dairies Ltd – Distribution, Fourways Furnishings, Amberon Traffic Management, Link Powder Coating and Metal Finishing, Fry Fresh Edible Oils Ltd., Ruabon Fitness Centre and Ceramtec.

Zone Two is home to Clwyd Spares and Repair Ltd., Molly’s Cafe, BT Garage Tyres and Auto Care, Wrexham Apple Repairs, Wizard of Pawz, Big Padlock Ltd, Thompson Coating Solutions, Flint Group, The House Nameplate Company, Elite Graphics UK Ltd, Sutureds Ltd, AE Sewing Machines, Advance Spares Ltd and Steel Physiotherapy.

They all provide employment for more than 600 people and they have all got together to buy a new sign, have formed a forum to share ideas and will soon be launching their own social media accounts.

Wrexham Council supports the businesses there with a Business Support Officer from its Business Investment Team.

This is a department that helps businesses across the county borough, and those looking to locate to Wrexham, with things such as identifying a location, setting up a business, marketing advice, establishing supply chains, marketing and research.

It also identifies and and facilitates networking opportunities, provides signposting to funding, supporting digital expertise, training and legislation and helping to future proof employment opportunities.

There are around 11,000 businesses in the county and all are able to access this support and guidance.

The team is based in Redwither Tower on the industrial estate and you can contact them on 01978 667300.
