A PROLIFIC offender with more than 40 thefts to his name has ended up in court again.
Layton Paul Vallance, 19, stole perfume worth £173.95 from the Wrexham branch of Bodycare on Hope Street and took Hugo Boss aftershave worth £95 from Debenhams in Eagles Meadow on March 24.
Vallance, of no fixed abode, was in breach of an eight week suspended sentence imposed just three days before for similar offences.
Catherine Jagger, defending, told North East Wales Magistrates Court at Mold: "He (Vallance) is on a never ending cycle of drugs and mental health problems.
"He is floundering and people want to help him but he knows he has to help himself."
Activating his suspended sentence with an added two week consecutive sentence for the latest offences, Deputy District Judge John Maxwell, said: "At the moment he is being warehoused and there is nothing I can do about that."
Vallance will also have to pay a victim surcharge of £115.
