AN ORGAN Society is preparing to welcome a Welsh keyboard star for a village concert.

Final preparations are underway as Llay Organ Society prepares to stage their second concert of 2019 as they welcome back one of the UK's most popular keyboard performers.

The Concert, to be staged at Llay Royal British Legion on Wednesday, March 27 at 8pm will feature popular Welsh professional organist and keyboard star Ian Griffin who has performed for the society on numerous occasions for the Society during his long and varied career.

Ian, from Neath in South Wales has been in the Music industry since the age of 12 when he made his first television appearance on BBC 1, playing the organ in a children's talent show.

Early in his career Ian toured with legendary singer David Alexander and has appeared regularly on Radio Wales, BBC Radio 2, HTV and S4C as well as appearing at numerous Organ and Keyboard festivals and other events throughout the UK.

Speaking about the concert, organ society Chairman Ron Jones said: "We are really looking forward to welcoming Ian back to Llay, it promises to be a great evening of live music with a varied programme of styles to suit all tastes from one of the best in the business".
