A FLINTSHIRE town witnessed a spate of early hour car break-ins.

Thieves targeted three cars in Buckley overnight on Tuesday, with one resident losing all their bank cards, including a credit card.

Police said the break-ins occurred in the Wilkinson Court, Park Walk and Lexham Green areas of Buckley.

A resident living on Wilkinson Court lost all their bank cards following the break-in of their vehicle. It is also reported that the car had been placed in gear with the seat adjusted, fuelling fears that an attempt to steal the car itself was also made.

Thieves also targeted a car on Lexham Green, stealing items such as a satnav and some CDs, while nothing of note was taken from a car on Park Walk.

It is believed the cars were fully locked and secure prior to the incidents, but it is unknown how the thieves gained entry to the vehicles.

A police spokesman said: "We were called at 2.34pm on Tuesday to reports that bank cards and other items had been stolen from inside a car parked on Wilkinson Court, Buckley.

"We were also called at 12.41pm on Tuesday to reports that a car had been broken into on Park Walk in Buckley, but nothing had been taken.

"We were called 12.35pm on Tuesday to a car break-in on Lexham Green, Buckley. Items stolen was a satnav, CDs and a pair of sunglasses.
