A WREXHAM town centre veterinary practice is to close.

The Vets4Pets practice, based on Caia Road will close next week.

An announcement was made on the practice's Facebook page, along with advice to pet owners on how to register with other other practice's.

The statement issued on behalf of the team there said: "It is with great sadness that we are announcing that our practice will be closing.

"In situations such as this, we are aware that things move very quickly, for all concerned, and we can confirm that our last day will be 8th March.

"As a team, we would like to thank our wonderful clients for giving us the privilege of treating your beloved pets, and for allowing us into your lives to share with you your smiles, laughs, and tears: it has been an absolute honour.

"All of our clients will receive a letter very shortly which will give you all the information you need regarding registering with another veterinary practice.

"Our main aim now is to help our patients and clients in whatever way we can. If your pet is on repeat medications please call us before March 5 so we can make sure that you have adequate supply.

"If there is any treatment which needs to be claimed on an insurance policy, please contact us as soon as possible so we can complete all the necessary paperwork.

"All of our Care Plans are transferable to other Vets4Pets practices.

"So to all our friends, with two legs or four (and a few with three!), thank you again for all of the support we have received over the years. We wish you all the best, and we will sincerely miss you.

"With love from the team at Caia Road x."
