A THEATRE solo piece exploring shyness and adolescence is to come to Mold.

The Shy Manifesto by Michael Ross is a bittersweet coming-of-age comedy about a shy boy who has had enough of constantly being told to come out of his shell.

It will be performed at Mold's Theatr Clwyd on Monday and Tuesday (February 25 and 26) at 7.45pm.

The performance takes shyness as its central subject and invites the world to embrace it as a positive personality trait.

A spokesman for the company said: "17-year-old Callum is proud to be shy because what this noisy, crazy world needs right now is some more self-restraint.

"Callum delivers his manifesto, exploring adolescence, isolation, self-loathing and sexuality and encourages his audience of radical, shy comrades to finally rise up. "But will memories of the previous night’s drunken escapades at a classmate’s end of term party upend the fragile identity he has created for himself?"

The Shy Manifesto features Theo Ancient who recently starred as Albus Potter in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in the West End.

Tickets are priced from £10 and can be purchased by contacting the box office on 01352 701521.
