ONE PERSON required hospital treatment following an assault in Buckley town centre.
North Wales Police confirmed that at about 4.30pm on Monday a man was assaulted in the area of Home Bargains in the town.
A spokesman for the force said: "We want to reassure the local community that the weapon mentioned on social media in this incident is NOT believed to be a firearm and is believed to be a BB gun.
"The victim received treatment at hospital and his injuries are not believed to be serious at this time.
"We are appealing to anyone who saw a silver Ford Focus in the area with any more information regarding the vehicle or to any persons that have witnessed the assault to contact us quoting 19100043895 with any information."
Anyone who has information can contact police on 101.
