A HOUSE has been damaged in a suspected arson attack in Flintshire.

The incident occurred shortly after 6.30pm on Sunday at an address on Moorfields in the Holway area of Holywell.

There are no reported injuries.

Police are treating the incident as arson and are now appealing for information as part of their investigation.

A North Wales Police spokesman said: “We were called by the fire service to the Holway area of Holywell to a suspected arson attack.

“We have since declared it to be arson with intent and are now inviting witnesses to come forward.”

A spokesman for North Wales Fire and Rescue said there was five square metres of damage to the property but could not state which part of the house was damaged.
