A FLINTSHIRE woman spoke of the impact a weight loss scheme had on her life.

Gemma Morris from Flint joined Weight Watchers (WW) in February last year.

She said she was approaching her 40th Birthday and felt her weight was controlling her life and making her miserable.

Mrs Morris, now 40, said: “One year in WW has given me back my confidence and health. I have been so driven since starting.

“And don’t get me wrong like everyone I have had times that I have fallen off the wagon.

“But having joined previously, lost and then put weight back on I decided this time it was for good.

“I had never stayed to workshops before and I feel that has been the key to my success.

“I now class the other members as my friends now and know that they are genuinely pleased with my success.

“I also ensure whether I’ve had a good or bad week I have gone to workshop as if you don’t the weight can quickly creep back.

“I’m never going back, to ensure this every time my clothes have become too big they have been packed off to charity so I no longer have my larger pants to fall back on.

“My weight was controlling and influencing my life choices and a trigger switched and enough was enough.

“I have had a busy year with lots of social events and still managed to lose four stone.

“The members spur me on and they are always complimentary of my success.

“My lifestyle has changed without a doubt, I will now go to exercise classes, go swimming and feel so much more confident in my clothes, I actually enjoy shopping again. I love having my confidence again.”
